Students will learn the steps of the chain of survival and how to recognize someone requiring CPR. Students are taught the importance of high-quality CPR, its impact on survival and students will learn high-quality CPR skills for adults, children and infants. Students are educated on the importance of early use of an AED, and students will perform practical AED skill demonstrations. Students will learn how to perform ventilations using a barrier device, how to perform multi rescuer CPR and how to relieve a foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children and infants.
